Rotten Inside

I'm not sure if I should put a gore filter on this? I don't think it's that bad but meh. 
So yeah, this is what's really underneath Nyx's armour... 
 
Nyx's Death“Fucking let me go!” Was the only thing she’d snarled at her captor in the past half an hour, after which she’d maintained a stony silence. She refused to give the little pink femme any satisfaction as the cybertronian that could easily be mistaken for a sparkling, skipped merrily through the dark, energon-splattered room.
“Awww Nyxie dolly, so quiet!” Solitare cooed to her new little human doll as she busied herself around the room as if it were simply another pleasant day. But Nyx’s spark was thrumming madly in her chest, she was sure her former human heart would have given out by now. But Solitaire had no illusions, she knew the little human at her mercy was terrified, and Nyx knew it too, but she could at least try not to show it for as long as she could. Instead she tried to channel the cold fury she still held over what had happened to Ace and Flower in the past, especially for what had been done to Ace.

Leading on from this. Yes, I know, I'm using that 'girl gets turned into a transformer cliche', but, if I'm going to use one of my admittedly least favourite cliches, I'm going to try and flesh it out a little. Just to start, I created Nyx when I did Ace, meaning the character is about 8 years old and because I was much younger then, admittedly, Nyx has a lot of mary-sue like physical traits (And since those things are integral to her character, I couldn't really remove them later though I have tried to make it much less mary-sue-ish). But I'm hoping this new body will erase almost all of those despite using a cliche to do it. I'm more than open to observations, critique and ideas though! 

Former Biology
Prior to this, Nyx had begun as an ordinary human, however, some time ago she came across a shard of the Allspark (so lore friendly omg -_- ) which she began to carry with her. Overtime Nyx noticed that she could no longer move the shard away from herself, finding out that the radiation from the shard was being absorbed into her body and the shard would react badly if anyone tried to remove it. 
During a particularly desperate battle Nyx was almost killed and the shard, sensing it was in danger, sped up the process. Due to the fact that an organic body is hardly equipped to become a vessel for the power of the shard and so it forcefully altered her biology in order to contain it. 

During the agonising process, each cell was merged with the metal biological compound that makes up the bodies of cybertronians. While this doesn't alter her physical appearance nor the density of her skin, but it does negate the acidic effects of energon on organic matter. As such, the blood in her body was replaced with energon which in turn, provided the appropriate energy and environment to house a spark. Her heart had stopped beating and instead had been merged more strongly with the metal that created a spark-casing. 

In addition, her eyes, which had been damaged by shrapnel during the battle, were replaced with cybertronian optics which she must now hide by constantly wearing her glasses. Because the new biological status must remain hidden from others for the saftey of herself or others. This means she must be very careful not to be cut or to bleed where others can see, nor to remove her glasses, this means she cannot take part in battle but remains far off and acts as a sniper instead. Because of the high-energy of the new physical form, Nyx must eat almost constantly in order to maintain  her body and so she can often be found snacking on things, the new metallic body slows her ageing to that of a cybertronian meaning she can't form relationships with people so they don't find out what she really is.

New Biology 
Having been torn apart by Solitaire, Nyx's body was almost all destroyed, what was up to her rib-cage has been too badly damaged to be saved. Her lower jaw had been torn off as was her tongue, her optics were gorged out of her head and her chest had been cut open to view the spark. As a result, it was an incredibly difficult task keeping what remained alive, the gaping hole in her lower torso was stitched up as were the other wounds over what remained of her body. 

There were several protoforms found in Solitaire's doll-house, used for whatever twisted games the little femme had thought up. These were taken away and one of these was used to build a new body. With Nyx's spark still intact, bringing that into contact with the protoform enabled the process to begin just as it would with any newly forged cybertonian. After this, under Jinx's direction, he Ace and Flower worked for a year in order to properly convert the newly formed body in order to house what was left of the organic body. The protoform houses a variety of systems providing oxygen, nutrients and other necessary compounds which must be replenished when needed. This is all to maintain her brain which survived unharmed, as the processor of the new protoform was completely blank. Both her brain and her spinal cord were synchronised with the protoform and simulated what parts of her spinal cord are now missing. This synchronisation causes the processor to copy whatever neurons are firing at the time, as such, over time the processor will begin to replicate the structure of the organic brain.

The organic portion is housed in a tank filled with a specialised gel which is designed to minimise shock and movement of the organic portion as much as possible. Despite this, excessive movement or shock as could happen during a fight could still cause danger to the organic body via either dislodging or damaging the cables, or damaging the body itself if it were to hit the side of the tank too much. The tank must also be drained every couple of weeks and the body cleaned in order to maintain it as much as possible. Nyx cannot handle the extreme temperatures or situations that most cybertronians do, restricted by what the organic portion of her body can handle. 

For the first month or two after regaining consciousness in the new body, Nyx suffers a lot of pain from everything that happened and the next several months entails relearning everything from speaking to walking. Everything must be re-learned. After a long and intensive rehabilitation process, Nyx finally was able to stand and control her new body. Her spark expanded to it's full intended size and as such, her organic chest had to be split open in order to compensate for that. Despite the fact cybertronians don't need to breathe, and now, nor does Nyx, due to it being an automatic process facilitated by the organic brain, even in her cybertronian body, Nyx continues to breathe and will automatically panic if she feels she cannot, however a device is later installed that mimics the feedback loop and tricks her brain into believing she is breathing. 

Psychological Consequences 
Obviously everything was very hard on Nyx's psyche, quite evidently the emotional trauma from what happened in Solitaire's dollhouse. Flower did offer to remove the memories, however while he can access her cybertronian processor, he cannot access her organic brain and thus it can't be blocked or removed. She struggles with this for quite some time along with paranoia and panic attacks if something were to trigger the memories of what happened there. With the support she needs, she eventually learns to deal with this aspect of things. She develops a fear of stasis though not as extreme as Flower's fear, this is due to the fact that while Nyx's cybertronian processor is switched into unconsciousness, there is no such switch for an organic brain, essentially moving her consciousness back to that body, she can feel it all, she can feel what she's missing, she can feel the wires and cables injecting and taking away, but she can't hear, see or move, she's essentially entirely locked in her own head and that terrifies her. 

In addition, she's completely insecure about her organic portion, she thinks it is disguising and abhorrent. She refuses to let anyone see it other than those who already have, Ace, Flower, Jinx and Shatter. She absolutely refuses to look at it herself sometimes it all gets too overwhelming and she feels the sudden overwhelming urge to tear it out. At this point she tends to just lose it, throwing things across the room or tearing things apart. She won't hurt others, however, and if there's nothing for her to destroy instead of the organic portion then she'll tear at her own armour. Eventually she learns to deal with it and these episodes fade away, but the revulsion is always there. 

With the new body, she struggles to find a place, no longer able to live and interact with humans as she'd wanted, for quite some time she tends to feel uncomfortable in the new life and it takes her sometime to adjust to this. Luckily both Flower and Ace are always there to provide emotional support whenever it's needed and they play a significant part in her recovery.
